Bush Walking & Bird Watching

For the nature lovers there are some lovely walks in the area. Spring will see Kojonup burst into colour with a huge variety of native orchids and wildflowers in bloom. Bird lovers will not be disappointed either as we have identified over 37 birds in our park and would love guests to add more to the list.

For a comprehensive list of over 200 birds in our area please ask at the office.

Kodja Place

Kodja Place, our interactive museum, is an interesting place to visit to learn more about our rich history. Whilst you are there why not have a walk around the award winning Rose Maze which tells the tale of 3 of the early lady settlers. Overlooking the Rose Maze is the Black Cookatoo Café which provides great coffee and delicious food. Follow the Historical walk around the town site, visit some of the historic buildings. Viewings can be arranged through the visitor centre which is located inside Kodja Place.

Stay Active with our Sporting Facilities

Have you packed your golf clubs or bowls for a quick game? Give the clubs a call to arrange a game. Visitors are welcome.

We also have tennis and croquet clubs. In season, park up and watch a game of footy or enjoy the game from the club house.

Enjoy a Scenic Drive

Fancy going for a drive?

Pick up a self-guided drive booklet or ask us for recommendations. There are lovely towns all within an hours drive.

Farrah Reserve

The man made Railway Dam was dug by early settlers in the early 1900’s. Today the Farrar reserve is home to many species of frogs, kangaroos and wallabies as well as the rare red-tailed phascogale, goanna and lizards. Spring is extra beautiful here with many wildflowers.

Myrtle Benn Flora and Fauna Sanctuary

The reserve is rich with flora and fauna. The area is particularly stunning in the wild flower season. The local school students have recently installed nesting boxes for the phascogale and are planting seedlings as part of the bush recovery program. A beautiful orchid and bird lovers place to explore.

Facilities for Children

Children will love Apex park with its play equipment or for the more active ones visit the skate park just down the road.

The Kevin O’Halloran swimming pool is open Oct-March and offers a shallow toddler pool along with a 50meter lap pool for those seeking a refreshing respite in the  summer months.
